LIVING COLLECTIONS | Modern & Contemporary Ceramic Auction
Maak’s November auction of studio pottery and contemporary ceramics brings together works from several significant private collections, reflecting the joy and personal enrichment of collecting and living with ceramics. A particular highlight is a substantial group from the collection of Keith Seeley, spanning a diverse range of makers, with notable works by William Staite Murray, Michael Cardew, Ladi Kwali, Elizabeth Fritsch, Felicity Aylieff, Richard Slee and Kate Malone, among others. Further highlights include important works by Lucie Rie, Jennifer Lee and John Ward, all from long-established private collections. As collections evolve and works pass from one collector to another, each collector adds another layer to their provenance.
All works will be available to view online and in person during Maak’s exhibition at 40 Earlham Street, Covent Garden from 14 – 19 November 2026.
