The day will be a celebration and showcase of what they do at Maxability.
They'll be offering taster pottery workshops, tours of the studio, and a ceramics sale featuring beautiful plant pots made by students. You can also expect light refreshments and friendly chat about accessible pottery.
The open day is free and open to all members of the public.
Their building is ground floor, level access, with multiple wheelchair accessible bathrooms. If you have any access requirements you would like them to know about ahead of your visit, please get in touch with their project coordinator, Megan, by emailing megan@maxability.org.uk.
Anita and Emile Woolf established Maxability in 2009 in order to enhance the lives of disabled adults in the London Borough of Barnet. They were partly inspired to establish the charity because their son, Carl Woolf, is deaf and physically disabled. Maxability’s mission is to enable participants to develop their creative potential through inclusive ceramics classes. Located in the Flightways Centre near Colindale, Maxability has a fully equipped pottery studio and provides a caring, supportive and creative environment. Maxability became a registered charity in 2015 (Charity No. 1162002).
