Kiln Yard Open Day is a chance to explore the ceramics facilities at Yorkshire Artspace and get to know the amazing clay community.

  • Watch as they open up the kiln to reveal work recently fired by community members. Will the Kiln Gods have been kind?

  • Explore some basement ceramic studios, including Clay Space, their subsidised studio supporting early-career ceramicists.

  • Browse and buy at the ceramic Makers Market, featuring a host of talented local artists showcasing their wares - some of which will have just come out the kiln!

  • Join a workshop with Becca Brown to make your own mug (12:00-2:00, Booking essential: book now).

  • Join a drop-in wheel throwing taster with kiln technician Mike Scown (12.30-2.30, no booking required).

  • Enjoy coffee and baked goods from neighbourhood bakery I Said Bread.

If you have any questions about the open day or our facilities, please contact rachael@artspace.org.uk
