Ceramics at the Shore, Cyan Clayworks, Edinburgh
Ceramics at the Shore is in its third year as part of the Edinburgh Fringe! They are Venue 240.
Launch event: Thursday 6th August 4 - 8pm
Friday 7th August 11am - 5pm
Saturday 8th August 11am - 5pm
Join Fiona and Chris for their open studio event and exhibition of handmade ceramics. A social enterprise and teaching space, the self-contained studio is based in the creative historic area of Leith. Visitors can look around the studio, see the ceramics in the front exhibition space/shop and the main work area, and chat to resident artists Fiona Thompson and Chris Donnelly. There will be lots of unique new work for sale from them both, including wheel thrown tableware and handbuilt sculptural vessels.
Expect some additional wall-based artwork on show too! Find out about courses and workshops for the autumn and winter.
Free admission. Please note: this is an open plan 'working' studio with equipment, tools & ceramic materials in the space and fragile items, it is not recommended for those under 10 yrs for health & safety reasons.
Highland Pottery Fair
After a hugely successful inaugural year, the Highland Pottery Fair is returning in 2026! Expect another colourful showcase of handmade ceramics, with talented potters selling their work, right in the heart of the Highlands in Inverness.
Taking place in the beautifully restored Inverness Creative Academy (WASPS Studios), the pottery fair will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October from 10 until 4pm – FREE ENTRY for visitors.
From traditional stoneware to contemporary ceramics, they’ll be something for everyone – we look forward to seeing you at the fair! Café de Paulo will also be open over the weekend for refreshments and food.
Potfest Scotland
Under large marquees across Scone Palace lawns, meet the 90 studio ceramics artists taking part. Wander Scone’s grounds, gardens and pinetum. Talk to the makers, discover what fuels their passion for clay and buy direct. Make a full day of your visit and soak up all things clay at this Scottish celebration of ceramics.
Glasgow Ceramics Festive Market
Glasgow Ceramics’ annual festive ceramics sale will take place at their studio on Saturday 14th (11am-5pm) and Sunday 15th December (11am-4pm).
